CHI-FA :Moving column machining center / HORNET *product1
Hornet model is a moving-column-designed 5Ax high speed machining center Chi-Fa newly lauched in 2016, had been displayed in the local Aerospace-related exhibition and got huge feedback from the visitors and old customers. Hornet machines is based on a “box in box” moving column structure with horizontal RAM.
The modular concept of the HORNET allows for a wide family of machines, providing productive solutions for a wide range of applications: the available strokes cover work volumes starting from 500 mm3, reaching a few m3; the four available head con¬figurations, combined with rotary tables with vertical or horizon¬tal axis and with special dedicated accessories, is a guarantee for high productivity. The mechanical structure of the HORNET is designed to offer a good compromise between rigidity and dynamic performances. This to allow for the efficient manufacturing of aluminium alloys, steel alloys and tita¬nium alloys. The work table can be configured and organized to obtain the best pro¬ductivity with different family and dimensions of parts. The use of rotary tables will allow for the pendulum operation between a 3 axes work zone and a 4 or 5 axes work zone. The Auto Tool Changer ATC system moves together with the column,allowing for a proper utilization of the pendulum operation.The ATC utilizes a double gripper exchange arm to minimize the tool to tool time.The combination of the milling head model 4B or model 4A with a rotary table (C), will allow for the machining:
- of 5 faces in a single set-up
- in 3+2 axes mode, indexing the table and the milling head and working with a short cutting tool
- in continuous 5 axes milling mode
A hydraulic damping system guarantees rigidity of ABC axes when indexed
CHI-FA : Gantry type machining center/ INSPIRER *product2
INSPIRER is a vertical milling center with upper gantry designed to offer high stability and high dynamic performances. The monolith base guarantees reliable geometrical stability even without a dedicated foundation. The modular concept allows for two different X axis strokes and two different head configuration: 3 axis and 5 axis.
The stability of the structure is complemented by a feed system conceived for high dynamic behaviour and high geometrical and operational precision. In particolar, the X axis feed system with double start ballscrews working in gantry in close loop with a double linear measuring system is a guarantee for high performances.
The milling head model 2aHS is extremely rigid to guarantee vibration free operation with high torque/power; its compact dimensions offer minimum interference problems. The C axis is directly driven by a torque motor; the A axis is driven by a servomotor via a zero backlash gear reducer. Direct measuring system is provided on both axes. To guarantee proper rigidity and position stability when working with the A and C axes indexed, a hydraulic clamping system is provided on both axes.
