JUN-EN enterprise: the exclusive metal mesh machinery expert

JUN-EN enterprise: the exclusive metal mesh machinery expert

JUN-EN is a leading metal mesh and machinery manufacturer in Taiwan, the equipment of the company targets sheet and wire processing, the two most common fields for application in the metal mesh and construction industry.

In getting ready to celebrate their 30th anniversary in 2017, JUN-EN has a series of celebrations this year, also launching activities at TIMTOS in March, the editorial team has thus visited JUN-EN to discuss with the General Manager Hsin-Yi Chiu for an exclusive insight on the future of metal mesh industry, and its exhibition plans at TIMTOS.

Q: Being the only metal mesh machine exhibitor at TIMTOS this year, which machines will be seen at the exhibition and how would you present the strength of your equipment?

General Manager Mr. Chiu: According to the market analysis, we have developed a brand new expand metal machine. At TIMTOS, this high speed high performing machine will be released, and we will both have metal mesh products and machines placed at the booth. The machineries exhibited are High Speed Perforated Metal Machine and Expanded metal machine. We provide two different types of perforated metal machine to meet customers’ production requirements. Plano-type is suitable for mass production of single or similar hole pattern with maximum speed of 400 spm and 8-row punching mold. Auxiliary devices are available for coil or sheet production. On the other hand, C-type is more flexible for small quantity but multi-pattern production that achieves higher efficiency and lower production cost. The expanded metal machines can generate solutions from micro mesh for the best acoustic application to larger mesh size for façade applications. Our machineries are broadly applied in construction, living necessities, industrial use, transportation, security and refurbishing fields. On-site consultancy services will also be there for the visitors, we strive to become a complete solution provider and thus welcomes every clients to stoop by.
The entire exhibition will surround on JUN-EN’s central anniversary theme – both reflecting on the 30-year-journey, and positioning their future focus on new techs and R&D.

Q: What have been the major challenges and opportunities that you faced in 2016, and what factors would potentially affect the market of metal mesh industry?

General Manager Mr. Chiu: From the considerable amount of export we do ( 95% revenue contribute to export), and several important international trade shows we attend, including Euroblech, Wire & Tube etc., we have found that the application for metal mesh products are broadening. Industries such as chemistry, food, aerospace, filtration, automobile and energy are increasing the use of relative products owing to the emphasis on industrial upgrade. The awareness in transport security (air bags), eco-friendly(battery for eco-cars) and health issues(filtration industry), as well as the surging constructions in the emerging economies have created more demands in our machineries. These global trends and societal changes are the positive forces we encountered in 2016. On the contrary, the wave of uncertainty in the global economy has given great pressures for a lot of European counterparts, and even harming companies’ financial fitness. These tightening conditions in global economy certainly gave us some stress; however, JUN-EN is lucky to also present our competitive advantages during such difficult period. The strength lies in our ability to manufacture tailor-made machineries and mesh metals, which helps us stand out. Relying on the experience of JUN-EN in both being the machinery manufacturer, and end-product producer, we have trained ourselves to be sharp and creative in understanding the latest need, and then design solutions. From the feedbacks we have built up in the past 30 years in over 70 countries, I would say the main factors to affect this industry depend on global economic condition as well as the development in the emerging economies, where great possibilities spark. We will face these challenges by utilizing the abilities mentioned above.

Q: Under the topics of Industry 4.0, AI, big data, automation and green industrial revolution, where do you think JUN-EN is linked to such technologies?

General Manager Mr. Chiu: We are aiming to cut 1/3 of the labor power needed in machine operation; moreover, we are also planning to upgrade our systems into servo-machines with our self-developed software to meet intelligent manufacturing.

Q: What are the main massages that JUN-EN would like to spread out to the visitors at TIMTOS 2017?

General Manager Mr. Chiu: We hope that our return to TIMTOS will once again reinforce the message that JUN-EN is a unique metal mesh/ machinery manufacturer who has sophisticated knowledge in mechanical technology, which rivals our German competitors. We also hope to reestablish ties with our old customers and show them our improvements over these years. Of course, on the exhibition, the 30th anniversary celebration will be the major highlight. We welcome all visitors to our booth and join the festive activities organized. Lastly, from these celebrations we would like to send our gratitude to those who helped us on the long journey. Being a devoted follower of God, our president has always put his personal belief into achieving a higher-quality manufacturer. Thus, we hope that every machine we produce will generate positive changes to our users, and then form a strong network that is filled with gratitude and trust. Deriving from this value, JUN-EN anticipate further prosperity in Taiwan’s industry as well, please visit our booth at TIMTOS 2017.
