Polystar releases the new model recycling machines that leads the global market
Interview with sales managers Jack Lin and Aria Chen of Polystar Machinery
It gave me a sudden surprise when I first walked into Polystar’s factory. The layout of the factory was completely refreshing from the impression from the plastics machinery industry. Polystar’s factory and machineries look simple and innovative. In fact the style represented Polystar’s core aspect – as being convenient, simple, helpful and secure. Polystar has more than 20 years of R&D experiment in the industry. The manufacturer created its own patent not long ago, but has already risen to the top place for world-wide plastics machineries users. The key purpose for Polystar is thus to help users have an easier time and convenient solution in recycling.
We were fortunate to have an interview Jack and Aria, the sales managers, to learn about the reasons why Polystar could become a fast grower in recycling machineries. For the both, establishing solid relationships with the customers are the major task for them, they therefore track the using situation of every customer and ask for detailed feedbacks, and use them as the suggestions for machinery alternations. A few key changes in the machineries made from last year are based on these suggestions. First of all, Polystar inspected several disadvantages from the recycling machines that are completely PC based – such as the complexity in system set-up, oversensitivity and time-demanding in maintenance. Polystar spotted that these are the main reasons that would affect users’ production; therefore, the manufacturer devoted its effort in helping users confront these problems so that the concept of ‘zero-down-time’ could be further achieved. The solution from Polystar was to select some smart features from the PC software system and return them to manual operation. The logic behind this change is refusing to completely reply on software, rather, combine the smart and manual features as to increase the flexibility of the machineries. These highly user-friendly designs are proven to be very popular among the users and received positive responses since Polystar released this new model. This innovative touch to the recycling machine was even non-existence in the European machineries before.
Secondly, Polystar increased the overall machinery capacity in response to the trend in renewable energy. Polystar ensures the motors in the machineries are energy-saving and operate 50% faster than other foreign machineries, and also that the pellets produced by recycling machines are 100% usable and recyclable. Polystar’s equipment advances with the growth of global recycling awareness, they serve as the tools of manufacturers in reducing waste and acquire lower cost materials. In addition of strong energy-saving function, Polystar has also strengthened the ability to process various innovative plastics materials and composites in the ever-renewing plastics industry.
At the end of the interview with Jack and Aria, I have learned that Polystar truly cares how their machineries affect the users, and sees the feedback invaluable. Not only does the manufacturer based their R&D on sharpening technology and user-friendly features, (invested about 20% of the revenue in R&D per year), they also presented their exclusive vision to overlook the demand and latest trend in the plastics industry. In 2014, Polystar was ranked as the highest market share recycling machine manufacturer in Russia – it was also the only Taiwanese plastics machinery manufacturer to enter the league. Polystar’s machineries are in operation in over 100 countries presently, they wish to forge more connections with the public at Taipei PLAS in order to create greater values.
